Federal interoperability mandates currently apply to Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and ACA marketplace plans. If you operate a commercial line of business outside the marketplace, you are not yet required to provide API-based member data access. When Peroya launches, however, members of commercial plans will be able to submit a formal voluntary access request to their plan directly through the app. Peroya will aggregate these requests and publish a public transparency dashboard showing which commercial plans have received member requests and which have responded. Plans that respond positively will be listed as voluntary participants, a meaningful signal of member-centered commitment.
